as the SLEEPing CREEP LEAPs

Hello, and welcome to a new season of Game of Thorns. I deliberately did nothing with this blog over the past year. As my fellow gardeners and those describing me in general say: The Sleeping Creep has Leapt! No. No one really says that. It is just a variation on the garden saying.

I’m going to begin this season with a recap of last year so that you can get an idea of what if anything, to expect. I’m excited for the coming year. We will have some new cast members and some, old, returning favorites as well.

This video is a time lapse of our crew planting several thousand bulbs across three annual beds. It was recorded in the fall of 2021. We will begin working in the gardens again in late April and should begin seeing the patterned emergence of these bulbs by mid-May.

Speaking of this season in the City & Parks, I saw this questionable document on a bulletin board in a local coffee shop recently and was delighted at the detail and effort that someone put into this. It looks as if it’s going to be a busy and interesting year with a lot of road closures. I’m sorry I couldn’t inform you in time for the first two events, so will encourage you to add the rest of these into your calendars.

I’m looking forward to bringing more of the seedy information regarding the parks to you all, once again. This year I’m proud to be working with our new sponsors.
