I always enjoy seeing the Toads & Frogs, when I do, and often times in surprising places. I’m impressed with the variety of size, color and texture that I see throughout the different park and garden areas. This upcoming year, a new skill for me to master will be Calling the Toads. This video is of William Burroughs in the backyard of his childhood home in St. Louis. In it, he recounts the tale of a maid that his family had when he was a child. One of her skills was the ability to call toads.
